The village green is a lovely, open space used by the local community for cricket in summer, carol singing around the tree at Christmas as well as various fundraising events throughout the year and of course daily strolling. It is perfect for people watching, rain or shine!
Welcome to Seacroft Green Care Centre, Leeds
Our purpose-built nursing home opened in February 2017 alongside Springfield Healthcare’s existing care home Seacroft Grange Care Village. Since then we’ve been offering safe, kind and compassionate nursing care to our residents.
Offering 76 beds for nursing, dementia and respite care alongside residential beds for working age adults who need living support, Seacroft Green Care Centre stands majestically beside the Village Green and adjacent to Seacroft Grange Care Village in the centre of this close knit community.
Working closely with award winning architects and interior designers, we believe we have created a Care Centre like no other. Light positively streams in from all sides, and each of the four floors has its own unique identity. We have brought together a full complement of highly skilled healthcare professionals whose passion and commitment to the highest possible standards is evident in everything that they do.
Our focus is people, everybody matters and we really care. Residents, visitors, colleagues … our job is to care and that is what we do.

A warm welcome to Springfield Carehome Garforth from me, my name is Graeme Lee and I am the Group CEO of Springfield Healthcare.
The care home that you are about to see on this virtual tour is actually where I grew up although it’s changed a lot since mum and dad opened the doors in 1967. My mum was a nurse, dad looked after the business side of things and I took over the business in 1994 after we lost my mum to cancer. We have grown substantially since then but my own experiences of living amongst older people and seeing how vulnerable they are has always driven me to deliver exceptionally high standards of care in really lovely surroundings – places where our residents feel safe and at home – and their relatives enjoy peace of mind.
I hope that when you have seen our virtual tour you will want to come and see us in reality, to talk to my team about how we can help you. If you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
Our bedrooms come furnished as standard with comfortable bed, a bedside cabinet for your smaller things, chest of drawers, wardrobe and a relaxing chair for sitting. You need only bring the minimum with you, but if you’d like some creature comforts from your own home that’s fine with us. Your room is your space, so feel to free to bring what makes you feel at home. We politely ask that any soft furniture is brand new and meets fire regulations for the safety of all.
On arrival you’ll receive a basket of complimentary items to help you settle in and a copy of our “Welcome to Springfield” brochure containing everything you might need to know from mealtimes to information about visiting and everything in between.
Seacroft Grange is a very special care village, set within the heart of an established local community in the historic village of Seacroft in Leeds. Combining beautiful surroundings with the latest care expertise, Seacroft Grange offers an impressive choice of care services for a wide range of age groups.
With 50 years of experience in the care industry, owners Springfield Healthcare are expertly placed to deliver first class care in this transformed historic building. Seacroft Grange has a wonderful atmosphere with onsite facilities such as the Bistro Café, cinema, therapy room, spa bath and hairdressing salon all of which are fully accessible to residents enabling them to relax, socialise and live life to the full.
Furthermore, there’s a whole team of kind, qualified and experienced staff providing personalised care to help residents live life as independently as possible. Whether our residents have complex care needs or simply need a little extra day to day support.

Our dedicated wellbeing and activities team work hard to ensure there is always an array of events to keep our residents active and engaged. From art classes, poetry days, music and dancing events, to gardening, pig racing and visits from our therapy dogs. You can also watch a movie in our onsite cinema, visit our hairdresser or use the spa!

We know from experience that quality and variety of food is high up on the list for everyone when it comes to choosing the right care home. That’s why we pay great attention to what our residents would like and go the extra mile to provide superb tasting, nutritionally balanced, familiar meals. We offer something for everyone in terms of a wide variety of tastes and our Head of Hospitality Services, Steve West, works in partnership with award winning food supplier Apetito to review the menu regularly. Our daily menus incorporate texture modified meals and special diets (diabetic, energy dense, low fat).
We also work hard to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere as for many of our residents taking meals in the dining areas is one of the highlights of the day. In addition to our beautifully designed dining areas we also have our highly popular Bistro where relatives and friends can come along to join residents for a casual lunch or just a coffee. The Bistro is open to all and we even get regular visits from our local police community support officers
